Atmos | A rectangular layout, Left & Right speakers are placed at +-45°. Left & Right Surround at ±135°. These Layouts are the logical continuation of ‘Surround’ but with added height speakers. The elevation angle for the upper speakers is 45° and their azimuth is ±45° & ±135° |
ITU | A cylindrical layout, Left & Right speakers are placed at ±30°. Left & Right Surround at ±110°. Layouts with elevation adopt the Atmos type elevation with the upper speakers positioned at 45° and their azimuth at ±45° & ±135° |
Auro-3D | A cylindrical layout, Left & Right speakers are placed at +-30°. Left & Right Surround at +-110°. These Layouts are the logical continuation of ‘ITU’ but with added height speakers. The elevation angle for the upper speakers is 30° and their azimuth at ±30° & ±110°. The logic is to stack to 5.1ITU (or 7.1ITU) systems above one another |
